Our Lead Free formulation is based around Bismuth & Antimony. It is not subject to any special end-of-life disposal issues, current or anticipated.
It is approximately 10% lighter than lead. The use of our regular PVC carrier material ensures it has the same levels of flexibility & resistance to cracking/ageing.
*Protection is very similar to lead between 60 & 120kV .
*Averaged Attenuation figures (+/-1%) for X-rays over the range 60-120kVp: 0.25mm 91%, 0.35mm 94%, 0.50mm 97%. A slight drop-off in attenuation (<10%) occurs above & below this range.
